In telling about the Rambos recording these songs written by Big Chief Wetherington, Jake Hess tells Bill Gaither on the Homecoming Tribute to Dottie Rambo that the Statesmen didn't know about Dottie Rambo's songwriting at the time this album was done. He went on to say "she's turned out to be the greatest."
Known as Jim "Big Chief" Wetherington, he was bass singer for the Statesmen Quartet. Died of a heart attack in 1973 at the National Quartet Convention per SGhistory.com
This album is a REPRINT of the original album "The Gospel Echoes Sing The Songs Of Jim Chief Wetherington"
