Recording Industry Association Of America ##
## It is up to the record company to submit documentation on sales and Benson Records apparently did not provide the documentation, so RIAA status was not certified, but it is known that sales exceeded 1 million albums. The 25th anniversary edition is still available for purchase as of this writing.

The Dove Award for Children's Album Of The Year did not start until 1981 - there is little doubt Down By The Creek Bank would have been the winner in 1978.
